November 29, 2007

Dear Member of the Midland Volunteers for Recycling (MVFR),

Midland Volunteers for Recycling Center’s staff, board members and volunteers are looking forward to a great year in 2008!  Already in 2007 we have recovered 1,400,000 pounds of recyclable material here at the Recycling Center.  With your help we plan on collecting and recovering even more recyclable material in 2008.

In addition to our collection program MVFR, in collaboration with the Creative Spirit Center, will be unveiling a sculpture on Earth Day April 22, 2008.  The sculpture will be created using recyclable and scrap materials.  You may have seen MVFR staff and volunteers at community events working with children to cut hand shapes from plastic detergent bottles.  Hundreds of children decorated these hands, which will be an important part of the sculpture.  These activities are all part of MVFR’s mission:

To educate the community on resource conservation through waste reduction, reuse and recycling.  To operate the recycling center where materials are processed for recycling, including many materials not accepted by other recycling programs.  To offer the greater Midland area community, volunteer opportunities to individuals of all ages and abilities.

To be successful in 2008 we need your Financial Support!

Please complete the form below and remember, MVFR is a nonprofit organization and your donation is 100% tax-deductible!  Send in your donation before the end of the year to reduce your taxes, support your environment and help MVFR continue the important environmental educational programs.

Sincerely yours,

Esther Seaver, Director                            John Davis, President
